When not at work I spend a lot of time in music studios, swimming pools, yoga classes and on my piano. As well as writing songs for children, I write songs for grown ups too. I’ve always associated teaching with having fun and if you’re not, you’re in the wrong job. It wasn’t long before we had several songs written about different themes and topics in the curriculum, so we decided to make the album so that children, parents and teachers could get their hands on the songs! Immediately it was easy to see how children enjoyed accessing the topics taught in a musical and energetic way and how quickly they retained the knowledge too. We have been very close friends for ages and ages and guess what? We’re both primary school teachers and this album was written whilst teaching at the same school in North London.īeing musicians it was only natural for us to use music as a tool for learning in the classroom. We created these songs out of a real love of music and the desire to make songs for children that were neither patronising, nor too “grown up” and above all our songs are original and from the heart. We’ve had a great time recording every single one of our songs. It’s been an amazing journey so far…thanks for finding us and we hope you enjoy the songs as much as we do. We released our first album in 2008 and proudly released our second album “Are We There Yet?” in December 2015. We write fun and educational songs for children.
